Attention Japanese Whisky Lovers, Many visitors coming to Kyoto are familiar with the incredible whiskies from Suntory such as the Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Hibiki. We've been happy to provide these amazing Japanese whiskies and we're doing our best to keep them on the shelf (a big challenge!). However Suntory is not the only Japanese distiller crafting delicious Japanese whisky. Nikka Whisky has many fantastic bottles and today we will talk about The Nikka 12 Years Old Premium Blended Whisky. The Nikka 12 years old is quite simply a superbly well-balanced blend. It's good enough to sip and be enjoyed neat. This is a high quality whisky. The blend is the product of single malt whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distillers as well as their renowned Coffey grain whisky. The asymmetric bottle design was inspired by the neck of the Japanese kimono. Buy this bottle while you're in Japan because it's still waiting on its international debut! This whisky is currently only available in Japan. Here are the tasting notes from thewhiskyexchange.com:
Our liquor store is a duty-free shop and we have an excellent price on this fine bottle. We also carry the popular Nikka from the Barrel. Readers: Have you tasted The Nikka 12 Years Old?
