Today we are spotlighting two delicious tequilas from 1800's Reserva Label: Reposado and Añejo. Like fine whisky these two fine Mexican spirits are distinguished by aging in wooden barrels. The Reposado is aged in American and French oak barrels for at least six months. The Añejo aged in French Oak barrels for at least three years. Here are some tasting notes from the producer:
This rich liquid has notes of buttery caramel, mild spices and a touch of smokiness, which is imparted by the finishing process. Perfect mixed in a cocktail or on the rocks.
Its finish is described as spicy and well rounded with flavors of toasted oak, vanilla and butterscotch. This deep, luxurious tequila is ideal for sipping.
